Wilson Youth Soccer League House League Committee
February, 2004

Dear Sir or Madam;
Attached is a registration form for the House League summer 2005 soccer season. You will receive a separate letter & form for each child you had signed up last season. Should you need additional Registration forms, please make a copy of the one attached, or, you may download a copy from the League’s web site, http://www.wilsonysl.org.
We strongly prefer that you return your form's to us by mail. Your envelope must include the proper payment and be post marked by February 21, 2005 to be eligible. The League will hold two days of registrations at the Wilson Town Hall on Saturday February 19th, 2005 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. No registrations will be accepted after that date for any reason. We will not be offering late registrations or walk-up registrations (at the soccer fields).
The League will continue our policy of assigning players to teams on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of how long they have played with the league. We will date registration forms as they are received and assign players to teams according to:
1) How many coaches volunteer, and 2) How early you returned your forms. We were VERY FORTUNATE and GRATEFUL that we had enough coaches last season, and no one who registered was turned away, We encourage all parents to consider coaching this coming season to ensure success again this year. Anyone who registers and who cannot be accommodated (due to lack of available coaches) will be notified and have their money refunded by the end of March. We strongly suggest you mail your forms back early to have the best possible chance of having your child/children assigned to a team. Note; children of parents who volunteer to coach are assured that all their children will be placed on teams.
This year we will continue our new procedure of informing players of their team & coach assignments by mail, during the first week of April. As these are prepared by volunteers, they may not all be mailed out on the same day, so please be patient with our system.

This year we will continue the use of experienced soccer instructors to run a number of the team practices, during six of the eight week program. From our past experience. players and coaches benefit greatly from this investment. Some parents just starting to coach may find running practices difficult, as they may not have prior coaching and/or soccer experience. This program is intended to benefit those new coaches as well as the players. We hope this program will encourage more parents to volunteer as coaches, allowing us to have more teams with fewer players, which means more playing time for each player.
